Overview As Group Account Director, you steer growth strategies and oversee medical communications programs from concept to implementation. You'll partner with clients, lead cross-functional teams, and drive strategic initiatives that protect and expand business. Responsibilities- Lead development, communication, and implementation of growth strategies across teams
- Monitor day-to-day client deliverables and mitigate challenges
- Participate in strategic brainstorming; steer project and program development
- Identify new business opportunities and expand existing accounts
- Build and sustain strategic client relationships and guide team relationships
- Serve as senior client resource; manage client relationships and resolve account issues
- Advise on messaging and marketing strategies; prepare written proposals
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations for client meetings and pitches
- Analyze accounts to improve profitability and suggest changes
- Forecast annual goals and growth opportunities, including proposals for expansion
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and accurately
- Holistically manage client team relationships to foster positive culture
- Mentor team members and support career growth
- Identify talent issues and collaborate with senior management on action plans
- Contribute to internal trainings and initiatives as requested by management
Key requirements- Degree in life science or in liberal arts, marketing or communications with interest in medical communications
- 7 years of medical communication or clinician-focused healthcare marketing agency experience
- Understanding of market dynamics in therapeutic areas (preferred)
- Knowledge of scientific messaging, KOL/DOL engagement, and advisory boards/meetings management
- Medical terminology proficiency
