Overview

In this role you will support DOE Hanford ORP QAD by auditing and overseeing QA programs for High-Level Waste, ensuring compliance with DOE orders and Hanford procedures. You will provide oversight on internal and external audits, assist Federal Project Directors with performance issues, and review QA procedures and root-cause actions. Expect to contribute to IPT activities, track deliverables, and prepare weekly and monthly reports. The position mix combines field presence at Hanford with coordinated telework, contributing to critical nuclear waste management efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Perform QA audits and program support for High-Level Waste initiatives
  • Provide oversight to audit and surveillance activities by internal/external teams
  • Assist Federal Project Directors in addressing performance issues and validating milestone completion
  • Review and comment on QAD procedures and oversight reports for HLW
  • Analyze causal actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues in HLW
  • Participate on HLW Integrated Project Teams (IPT) as required
  • Produce weekly and monthly status reports and track deliverables and schedules
  • Coordinate travel and in-person support as needed in accordance with regulations
Key requirements
  • Fourteen (14) years of relevant management consulting or senior management experience with executives or senior technical/business personnel
  • Extensive QA audits experience and QA program implementation
  • Working knowledge of QA controls, DOE policies, and Hanford Site priorities
  • Expert writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new tools quickly
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to meet security requirements
  • Fully vaccinated or meet entry/testing requirements for federal buildings
  • BS/BA in engineering, science, or business management (or 8+ years of equivalent experience)
  • Experience interfacing with government or industry on large-scale projects
