Overview In this role you will advise clients on corporate tax matters within the M&A space, working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver due diligence and tax structuring. You will communicate findings to clients and support complex topics like consolidations, special entity structures, and tax basis issues. You will mentor staff and contribute to the firm's collaborative, growth oriented culture, leveraging KPMG's Ignition Centers to craft innovative tax solutions. Your work helps high profile clients navigate opportunities and challenges in tax strategy and execution.

Responsibilities- Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services including planning, research, and other M&A activities
- Collaborate in a multi disciplinary team delivering due diligence and tax structuring services and present findings to clients
- Assist senior M&A Tax practice with issues involving consolidated returns, S Corps, partnerships, LLCs, and LLPs
- Support clients on bankruptcy emergence planning, out of court workouts, debt restructurings, tax basis, earnings and profits, and section 382 studies
- Develop, motivate, and train staff level team members
Key requirements- Minimum five years of recent experience in federal tax and/or mergers and acquisitions in a public accounting firm, corporate tax department, or law firm
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, or approved credential; otherwise 1 year to obtain an approved designation
- Knowledge of a broad range of corporate tax matters in various industries
