You'll help shape market development and thought leadership while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, scalable solutions. Responsibilities- Meet with clients to advise on trade compliance in the automotive sector (imports/exports)
- Lead and manage client projects including audits, reviews, program development, and training
- Research, write, and review advice on USMCA, HTS classification, and country of origin
- Apply trade technology solutions to collect and analyze trade data
- Assist with supply chain traceability and determining customs duties
- Support market development and thought leadership initiatives (articles)
- Senior Associate: provide leadership to associates and review their work
Key requirements- Minimum one year of recent experience in trade compliance with knowledge of US CBP rules and regulations, HTS, valuation, EAR/ITAR and related export controls
- Bachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in taxation and/or MBA
- Outstanding experience with US import/export control regulations and ability to provide practical advice
- General export control and sanctions experience (audits, classifications, framework development)
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future
