Overview In this role, you support the Office of the General Counsel by leading conflicts analysis for new clients, matters, and lateral hires. You work closely with attorneys to identify and resolve business and legal conflicts, ensuring compliance with professional responsibility rules. The position offers hybrid/flexible work in California and opportunities to influence intake processes and outside counsel guidelines. You will draft waivers and engagement letters, and provide guidance on conflicts and related procedures. This is a client-focused, detail-driven role in a prestigious law firm.

Responsibilities- Conduct conflicts searches and analyze potential conflicts for new clients, matters, and lateral hires
- Coordinate with attorneys to resolve legal and business conflicts
- Support client intake by reviewing submissions for completeness and accuracy
- Draft and review conflict waivers, engagement letters, and outside counsel guidelines
- Advise attorneys and staff on conflicts, waivers, intake procedures, and related professional responsibility matters
Key requirements- J.D. from an accredited law school
- 3+ years of conflicts analysis experience (preferably in a law firm)
- Strong knowledge of conflict-of-interest rules and professional responsibility
- Experience reviewing conflicts involving new clients, new matters, and lateral hires
- Ability to identify business conflicts and determine resolutions
- Experience supporting client intake, drafting waivers, reviewing engagement letters, implementing outside counsel guidelines
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, effective communication, thrives in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
