Overview

As a Project Engineer 1, you will manage multiple product development projects from concept to mass production within an international team. You will provide technical direction to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant product launches. You will translate market needs into design requirements, lead design reviews, and drive manufacturability and reliability. This role offers impact through shaping new products and collaborating across global teams.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily communications to align cross-functional teams toward on-time project completion
  • Convey technical concepts clearly to engineers and non-technical stakeholders across locations
  • Guide product design to meet market-driven guidelines, cost, timing, reliability, and high-volume manufacturing targets
  • Evaluate design options and implement designs into mass production
  • Own technical elements of product execution including components, materials, packaging, safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Draft and refine product, performance, and testing specifications, and ensure alignment with technology and customer needs
  • Lead design and safety reviews to progress through development stages
  • Drive quality compliance within project work
  • Apply design development tools such as FMEA, DOE, DFMA, reliability analysis, CAD analysis, and 3D design tools
  • Initiate and conduct patent searches and contribute to patent development
  • Travel internationally as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • experience in mechanical engineering, plastic tooling, structural design, consumer product design is preferred
  • experience with product development of electronic consumer products is preferred
