Overview As the Vice President, Sales - Walmart, you will drive strategic growth and profitability for the Omni Walmart & Sam's Club business. You lead a cross-functional commercial team in the MGA Bentonville office, building strong customer relationships and overseeing planning, budgeting, and performance. You shape customer-specific strategy, lead joint business planning, and ensure operational excellence across merchandising, marketing, and data initiatives. This role offers high-impact work at scale, shaping the MGA-Walmart partnership and long-term profitable growth. You will collaborate across functions to align innovation and promotional plans with business goals, delivering measurable ROI.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute customer-specific strategies aligned with company goals
- Set annual sales targets and performance objectives
- Lead joint business planning, modular, promotional, and integrated marketing programs across stores, clubs, and digital channels
- Monitor retail trends and competitive activity to inform strategy and mitigate risks
- Develop annual operating expense budgets and trade spend with Finance and leadership
- Lead pricing negotiations and promotional investments
- Oversee Bentonville office and mentor Account Managers, Merchandisers, Analysts, and Demand Planners
- Cultivate a high-performance, customer-service oriented team culture
- Foster senior-level relationships with Walmart touchpoints across merchandising, operations, marketing, and data teams
- Coordinate bi-annual top-to-top discussions and participate in supplier summits
- Foster strategic partnerships for long-term joint growth and KPI alignment
- Lead cross-functional planning with Product Development, Marketing, and Operations
- Coordinate internal reviews and present customer strategy to leadership
- Lead bi-annual customer line reviews across brands
- Utilize tools for execution and decision support (Walmart Scintilla, retail link, supplier one)
- Drive data-driven decision making through dashboards, POS analysis, and account scorecards
- Conduct post-promotion analysis to improve ROI and promotional effectiveness
Key requirements- 10+ years in sales or commercial leadership within consumer products or retail
- Proven Walmart business management experience and cross-functional leadership
- Strong understanding of omni-channel merchandising, promotions, supply chain, and forecasting
- Experience with long lead time, seasonal, fashion, and import categories
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable strategies
