Asset Management Analyst

Overview

In this role you will drive the financial performance of Harvard's real estate portfolio by delivering asset management insights, modeling cash flow, and supporting acquisitions and dispositions. You will work closely with Leasing, Operations, and Finance to implement scalable processes and communicate findings to senior leadership. The position blends market research, due diligence, and project execution to strengthen portfolio value. This is a cross-functional role that shapes university real estate strategy and development initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement asset management recommendations to improve economic performance and long-term value
  • Create and maintain financial models for multi-tenant properties to project cash flows and NOI
  • Support acquisitions and dispositions through underwriting and due diligence
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives linking Operations, Leasing, and Finance to align asset strategies with financial goals
  • Prepare presentations and reports for senior leadership and internal stakeholders
  • Conduct market research on vacancies, rents, and trends to inform leasing strategy
  • Assist with lease administration and broader departmental initiatives
  • Support new housing and real estate development projects across Cambridge and Greater Boston
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in real estate, finance, or related field; 3-5 years in real estate, planning, development, or related field
  • Strong teamwork and virtual collaboration skills
  • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into actionable recommendations
  • Proven experience managing multi-faceted projects in a complex environment
  • Familiarity with office, retail, residential, lab, and related real estate asset types
  • Experience with permitting processes in MA and Cambridge/Boston
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities
