Overview In this role you maintain and improve the hospital's physical plant and infrastructure. You will work within Plant Engineering to execute and lead maintenance, repairs, and installations, collaborating with contractors and guiding technicians. You'll manage inventories, document work, and participate in safety and quality initiatives. The position combines hands-on technical work with project leadership and cross-functional teamwork, on a night shift to support 24/7 healthcare operations.

Responsibilities- Log and track time, materials, and costs for work orders and requisitions
- Organize and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; recommend equipment purchases
- Develop and implement programs for facility, grounds, and equipment maintenance
- Assign tasks, requisition supplies, oversee contractors, and train technicians
- Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations; lead challenging group projects
- Assist in all areas of specialty as needed
- Local travel required; ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Complete annual education and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Key requirements- Three to Five years of maintenance, construction, or repair experience
- EPA universal technician license required if HVAC duties are performed
- Valid Tennessee driver's license Class D
- State-mandated minimum insurance coverage; driving record meeting Covenant Health standards
- Education technically sufficient to meet certification requirements (no formal degree specified)
