Overview As a Structural Engineer in NV5's Building Design Group, you will design and oversee structural projects for commercial and multifamily buildings. You'll manage multiple projects, budgets, schedules, and client communications while collaborating with engineers and architects. You'll apply advanced modeling and analysis tools and contribute to code compliance and sustainable practices. Responsibilities- Hands-on technical design of building projects
- Oversee multiple projects: budgeting, scheduling, and client management
- Attend project sites and client meetings
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to deliver project deliverables
- Coordinate design work with other engineering and architectural disciplines
- Meet client budget and schedule expectations while delivering quality products
- Increase proficiency in design, modeling, and analysis software (Revit, ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, Enercalc, Excel, SteelSmart, Simpson CFS Designer)
- Assist with budget estimates and proposal write-ups
Key requirements- B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering (M.S. preferred)
- FL Professional Engineering (PE) license
- 5+ years of structural engineering design experience (Concrete, Steel, Masonry, Wood)
- Knowledge of building codes and construction practices in high-seismic regions
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, Enercalc, Excel)
- Experience assembling calculation packages for submittals (DSA/HCAI a plus)
- Revit experience with modeling and construction drawings preferred
