Overview In this role you will lead the site's environmental, health and safety initiatives to achieve a zero-injury workplace and regulatory compliance. You will build and sustain a strong safety culture within a manufacturing setting and partner with cross-functional teams to align EHS programs with the company's governance. You will oversee audits, incident investigations, training, and environmental permitting while guiding contractors and junior staff. Your work will influence risk reduction, crisis readiness, and continuous improvement across the facility.
Responsibilities- Lead development, implementation and improvement of site-wide EHS programs and policies
- Manage EHS audits and drive closure of audit recommendations
- Oversee incident/near-miss investigations with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Lead crisis management initiatives, including team structure and communications
- Ensure environmental permit compliance and timely reporting
- Provide EHS training and technical guidance to site personnel
- Collaborate with contractors to ensure robust safety programs and site-specific requirements
- Mentor junior EHS staff and support program development
Key requirements- 5+ years of EHS leadership experience in manufacturing
- In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations
- Safety certifications (ASP, CSP, or eligible)
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and team facilitation abilities
- Proven influencing skills acrossAll levels of the organization
