Accountant

In this role you lead miscellaneous accounts receivable accounting, driving key processes and improvements. You will collaborate with IT on system interfaces and support month-end close and data requests. You communicate results to stakeholders and guide project or team initiatives. The position emphasizes strong leadership, analytical problem-solving, and process optimization within a regulated energy business.

• Maintain monthly receivable accounting and related controls
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations; ensure accuracy and compliance
• Lead project or team initiatives and interface with IT on systems issues
• Support month-end close and respond to internal/external data requests
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities for revenue reporting
• Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate system testing and validate system interfaces related to AR processes

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Accountant Lead: 5+ years; Sr Lead: 8+ years in banking, finance, or related fields
• Strong accounting controls knowledge; SOX awareness; familiarity with internal/external audits
• Proficient in MS Office; excellent written and verbal communication; leadership and organizational skills
