Overview As Director of Engineering, you will lead the regional maintenance and engineering organization across 5+ facilities to improve reliability and drive capital project execution. You will align engineering practices with Refresco's standards, delivering cost-effective improvements and capacity to support growth. You'll work with cross-functional teams to implement new initiatives that boost quality, efficiency, and safety. This is a strategic, hands-on role that shapes how we scale operations in North America and sustain our market leadership.

Responsibilities- Build and manage a regional plant maintenance and engineering organization across the US and Canada
- Oversee budgeting for engineering, maintenance, seasonal rebuilds, and capital projects
- Plan, execute, and prioritize capital projects aligned with standards and business needs
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve capacity, flexibility, cost efficiency, and quality across facilities
- Provide staffing strategy, performance management, and workforce planning for engineering teams
- Lead SAP Maintenance implementation across the system
- Coordinate site/startup planning and ensure on-time delivery within budgets
- Guide plant engineers with defined scopes, milestones, and completion dates
- Foster cross-functional communication of plans, milestones, and results to stakeholders
- Ensure regulatory compliance and manage consultant services for equipment/facility builds
Key requirements- 10+ years of engineering leadership in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing multi-site engineering teams and large-scale capital projects
- Strong knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to travel as needed to support regional teams and facilities
- Knowledge of infrastructure systems (nitrogen, electrical, steam, compressed air)
- Familiarity with OSHA and SQF regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and AutoCAD
- Experience with SAP Maintenance installation and use
