Overview

As Division Administrator for Cardiac Services in Banner Health's Tucson campus, you will lead complex cardiac operations and shape the division's strategy and metrics. You'll partner with clinical leaders to drive service-line growth and align with Banner Health and UA academic medicine priorities. The role focuses on delivering financial performance, quality outcomes, and patient loyalty while expanding ambulatory and inpatient services. You will interface with executive leadership and the community to advance cardiovascular care and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Direct day-to-day operations of the cardiac service line at the assigned site(s) and drive outcome-focused care delivery.
  • Lead development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based nursing and clinical practice aligned with standards.
  • Ensure financial stewardship, resource utilization, and capital/technology decisions to maximize ROI.
  • Oversee quality and safety programs, staffing, and professional development within a matrix leadership model.
  • Participate in tactical planning, community engagement, and collaboration with health care providers and external partners.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop talent; foster a collaborative, respectful team culture.
  • Maintain positive relationships with medical staff and align system and hospital management with clinical goals.
  • Report on and manage reporting for grants and research projects; communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership to both inpatient and outpatient operations and oversee budgetary responsibilities.
Key requirements
  • Master's degree in management (preferably medical group administration)
  • extensive upper management experience in a healthcare facility (multi-unit system preferred)
