Transportation Project Manager (TIA Program)

In this Transportation Project Manager role, you will oversee the Heart of Georgia Altamaha TIA 2 program, coordinating GDOT, local governments, and consultants to deliver multiple transportation projects on schedule and within budget. You will lead cross-agency collaboration, manage risks, and ensure adherence to GDOT policies. The position blends program management with stakeholder engagement to advance regional transportation improvements. • Manage delivery of Heart of Georgia Altamaha TIA 2 () projects
• Lead weekly coordination meetings with GDOT, consultants, and stakeholders
• Monitor schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables
• Track progress of GDOT-let design and construction projects and identify risks
• Coordinate with local governments regarding locally let projects
• Develop resurfacing bid packages for GDOT-let projects
• Review and approve resurfacing bid packages prepared by local governments
• Review and approve consultant and local government invoices for compliance and contract requirements
• Assist with program reporting, budget tracking, and project documentation
• Serve as primary point of contact between GDOT, local governments, consultants, and stakeholders
• Facilitate communication and resolution of project issues among project teams
• Manage one or more moderately complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and regional coordination
• Provide guidance and coordination to technical staff and project support personnel
• Receive technical direction on complex issues while operating independently in day-to-day PM activities

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and 4 years of roadway/construction/PM experience
• Valid U.S. Driver's License with ability to visit project sites
• Experience coordinating with government agencies, consultants, contractors, and local stakeholders
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
• Knowledge of GDOT processes is preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification is a plus
