Overview As Project Engineer in Burns & McDonnell's Federal group, you will lead multi-discipline design teams on DOE projects in the Pacific Northwest, guiding design through all project phases. You will develop work plans, schedules and budgets, and interface with construction and fabrication teams. You will support business development with engineering estimates and proposals, contributing to quality through NQA-1 considerations. You will collaborate with DOE Hanford Site contractors to deliver critical programs and travel as needed. Responsibilities- Lead multi-discipline design teams and coordinate design submittals
- Manage all phases of project execution from planning to construction support
- Develop and manage workplans, schedules, and budgets and lead a diverse project team
- Interface with construction or fabrication teams and perform redline markups
- Utilize CAD, Revit, and MS Office; produce technical reports and studies
- Support business development with client engagement, estimates, and proposal support
- Work with DOE Hanford Site contractors and apply NQA-1 design requirements
- Travel to project sites as needed (approx. 10-25%)
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of related experience (master's may substitute for 1 year)
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with consulting preferred
- PE strongly preferred
- Familiarity with NQA-1, DOE projects, and Hanford Site interactions
