Overview

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will lead continuous improvement and safety across manufacturing processes and equipment. You will implement measurable opportunities to improve OEE and risk mitigation, install and validate new equipment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to raise process standards. You'll design and optimize processes, mentor root cause analysis, and ensure safety and environmental compliance. This onsite role at New London, NC offers broad impact on plant operations and strategic capital projects.

Responsibilities
  • Direct manufacturing process design, development and improvement for an assigned area
  • Analyze product designs for manufacturability
  • Design and test new equipment, processes and layouts
  • Develop data-driven process improvements focused on OEE and safety
  • Specify equipment requirements for manufacturing processes
  • Support purchase and installation of new equipment
  • Lead RCA efforts to improve OEE and safety
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
  • Quantify improvements via metrics (OEE, ROI, MTBF, WIP)
  • Plan and facilitate process improvements and capital projects
  • Develop plant standards for 5S and visual management
  • Optimize systems and processes across facilities
  • Provide technical leadership and cross-functional support
  • Identify learning opportunities and document lessons learned
Key requirements
  • BS in Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years in industrial/manufacturing engineering
  • 5+ years in process improvement with measurable impact
  • Knowledge of PDCA, SMED, 6 Sigma
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience writing SOPs and work instructions
  • Facilitation, leadership, mentoring and training ability
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Strong strategic thinking and computer skills
  • Willingness to work long hours on plant floor
