Overview In this role you will support the manufacture of ceramic cores for aerospace applications at the Whitehall Core Plant. You will drive yield and productivity improvements through data-driven analysis, engineering trials, and root cause investigation. You'll collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to ensure product integrity and compliance while enhancing process efficiency. Responsibilities- Review product/process scrap and productivity losses and develop action plans
- Conduct engineering trials under supervision and support engineering projects
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality, cost, delivery, and product integrity
- Respond to Level 3 help chains to reinstate production flow in injection departments
- Coordinate with dimensional, layout, and C3D teams on core dimensions and gauging issues
- Ensure product compliance to customer requirements
- Compile/analyze product data using SPC and generate engineering reports
- Develop/maintain activity instructions and product/process specifications
- Disassemble/assemble auxiliary tooling and work with Tool Room and maintenance teams on core/tooling issues
- Support EHS initiatives related to tooling, fixturing, and equipment operation
- Train press technicians and operators in relevant processes
- Perform duties safely and efficiently and other related tasks
Key requirements- Associate degree in an engineering discipline OR 3 years' experience in related manufacturing OR 2 years of related Howmet experience
