Overview

In this on-site role, you lead and support the launch of new fabrication equipment and processes, collaborating with design, product engineering, and supply chain to ensure manufacturability. You contribute to process capability, quality, and safety, driving continuous improvements in production flow. You will create specifications, train teams, and support existing operations to sustain efficient performance. This opportunity lets you influence manufacturing outcomes at a leading window and door company and shape how new technologies scale in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support commercialization and start-up of new fabrication equipment and processes
  • Collaborate with design, product engineering, and supply chain on design for manufacturability and process capability
  • Provide recommendations on viability of design solutions for new or existing processes
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings, kaizens, and Process System Design events
  • Ensure built-in quality using DMAIC tools (process mapping, capability, FMEA, DOE, control plans)
  • Develop specifications to procure production equipment and/or complete production lines
  • Partner with Safety Teams to meet corporate safety requirements
  • Create training tools, SOPs, and documentation for production processes
  • Introduce new perspectives to continuously improve production and material flow
  • Provide operational technical support for existing applications and processes
Key requirements
  • BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • 3-5+ years of engineering experience with mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with project planning and cross-functional teamwork
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication
  • Knowledge of quality systems, statistical process control, and lean tools
  • Knowledge of 2D & 3D CAD (AutoCAD/Inventor) preferred
