Overview In this role you will assess technical requirements for large-scale events from concept to execution, collaborating with Producers, Creative teams and Project Managers to ensure the client's vision is feasible within budget, venue constraints and timeline. You will act as the primary technical authority for scenic, staging, AV, LED, lighting and labor, while developing designs and engineering plans. You will source production services and leads and align technical solutions with Encore's standards. You'll partner with project leadership to plan, execute and deliver on-site. Responsibilities- Create preliminary production and labor schedules, scope, and execution plans for cross-functional teams
- Oversee event layouts, technical designs, engineering plans and wiring diagrams aligned with production needs
- Evaluate feasibility of concepts and propose viable technical solutions while preserving client vision
- Identify and secure resources and specialty vendors for complex elements
- Attend internal/client meetings to evolve event design and prepare show documentation
- Ensure proposals include appropriate equipment, roles and services based on production needs
- Maintain relationships with clients and deliver outstanding service to support retention
- Serve as a technical resource on industry trends and Encore offerings
- Coordinate technical and logistical needs during planning as primary contact for Producers/PMs
- Own design development and logistical planning from scope to handoff, including vendor management
- Communicate technical deliverables and client standards to stakeholders
- Support onsite technical challenges and design changes, mentoring team members
- Ensure compliance with Technical and Production Standards
- Monitor budgets and control design/engineering costs, flag unforeseen expenses
- Contribute to Technical Director SOPs and participate in event reviews and team training
Key requirements- BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years in technical roles within Corporate Staging or Broadcast
- 5+ years in a Project Manager role
- 3+ years of supervisory experience (preferred)
- Strong competencies in staging, scenery, rigging, sound, lighting, video
- Intermediate drafting skills with Vectorworks or AutoCAD
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Solid technical background and client relationship abilities
- Budget awareness and cost control
- Operational logistics experience
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple complex tasks
- MS Office experience
- Travel up to 50% may be required
