Overview

As a Water/Wastewater Project Technical Lead, you guide multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated water and wastewater infrastructure solutions. You will lead design, planning, and construction activities, coordinating with clients and stakeholders to meet project objectives. This role focuses on advancing a growing California water practice through technical leadership, innovation, and strong client collaboration. You'll mentor colleagues, drive efficient delivery, and contribute to transformative projects that benefit communities. Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership for innovative water/wastewater solutions
  • Manage water, recycled water, and wastewater projects through design-bid-build and alternate delivery methods
  • Direct and coordinate with multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Prepare reports, calculations, drawings, construction submittals, and models
  • Communicate with clients during planning, design, and construction
  • Support innovation and research through conferences and partnerships
  • Promote Stantec's project delivery structure (PMs, PTLs, Discipline Sector Leads) and coordinate marketing/delivery with leadership
  • Mentor young professionals and adhere to safety procedures
Key requirements
  • Experience organizing, planning, and executing water/wastewater design from pursuit to construction
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams (internal, subconsultants, vendors)
  • Experience with collaborative delivery projects with contractors and vendors
  • Strong client service, project management, and design management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for team building, collaboration, and mentoring
  • Strong technical skills with at least one area of specialized expertise
  • Ability to meet client budgeting and quality management expectations
  • Experience in marketing, client relationships, and proposal writing
