Overview In this role you will design and analyze electrical, low voltage, and AV systems for commercial and industrial facilities, delivering construction documents that meet codes and client needs. You'll work with cross functional teams to coordinate systems, assess budgets, and support project delivery from feasibility through field verification. The position emphasizes security, fire alarm, data networks, and acoustic design, with opportunities to mentor junior staff. This role suits a technically minded engineer who thrives in complex, multi disciplinary environments.
Responsibilities- Design electrical and low voltage systems (fire alarm, telecommunications, data networks, lighting control) for new/building renovations
- Develop construction documents and project specifications; edit and review submittals for conformance
- Prepare feasibility studies and schematic design packages; provide cost estimates
- Coordinate with disciplines to produce integrated construction documents; perform site measurements
- Mentor less experienced staff and support project management with budgeting and scheduling
- Review project scope and constraints with PM or client; ensure quality and timely delivery
- Conduct field checks and maintain accurate project Calculations and references
- Produce threat and security analysis reports for facilities
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- RCDD certification
- Revit proficiency
- CPP PSP security certification from ASIS or ICAO
- 12+ years of related experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
