Overview In this remote Territory Manager role, you'll market, underwrite and manage commercial accounts with select agencies in the Northeast, focusing on Middle Market Senior Living. You drive profitability by shaping risk selection, pricing and agency planning while maintaining strong relationships with partners. You will lead sales strategies, negotiate plans, and coordinate cross-functional support to expand Nationwide's presence in the Senior Living space. This position combines analytical underwriting with entrepreneurial territory ownership to deliver growth and excellent client service.

Responsibilities- Monitor market conditions and competitive landscape to win accounts
- Underwrite and quote complex or service-sensitive accounts within authority
- Review agency books and analyze performance to shape plans
- Drive production, profitability and service objectives across territory
- Develop and implement agency business plans and sales strategies
- Market Nationwide products to drive agency results and improve pipeline management
- Collaborate with internal partners to deliver solutions and retain profitability
- Lead agency visits, develop relationships and evaluate performance
- Ensure quality of workflow and timely handling of customer service requests
- Coordinate team efforts on new business, renewals and service plans
Key requirements- Multi-line commercial underwriting experience with underwriting authority
- Senior Living industry-specific experience
- Strong business development and agency management orientation
- Seven years of progressively responsible underwriting and sales experience in commercial business (preferred)
- Knowledge of commercial underwriting, pricing and coverage for middle market business
- Excellent interpersonal and sales skills; ability to build internal and external partnerships
- Ability to make independent underwriting decisions within guidelines
- Willingness to travel, with remote work setup in Eastern Time Zone
