Overview In this role you will lead estate and trust tax engagements within a well-established regional CPA firm. You will work hands-on on tax compliance, reviews, and client service, and you will mentor junior staff. Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and ensure timely filing of tax returns; oversee compliance and examinations of varying complexity.
- Provide advisory input with advanced technical tax skills to clients.
- Manage client service workflows and ensure tasks are completed within budgeted time.
- Allocate and review staff assignments, ensuring appropriateness and quality.
- Supervise and train tax staff, including on-the-job coaching and development.
- Participate in performance reviews and evaluations within the Tax Department.
Key requirements- 2-5 years of public accounting experience with a proven progression in tax scope and complexity
- Estate and trust tax experience
- Minimum 1 year supervising and directing tax preparers
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Master's degree in taxation preferred
