Overview In this role you will execute trades of structured product fixed income securities under supervision, focusing on Agency Mortgages and CLOs. You'll partner with Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, and Traders to deliver market insight and support the investment process. You will contribute to the global trading team with market trends and maintain data on trading levels, while ensuring pre-trade compliance and effective internal communication. This position offers visibility across the trading function and opportunities to influence trading decisions in a client-centric, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities- Execute trades of structured product fixed income securities as authorized by Portfolio Managers (Agency Mortgages and CLOs)
- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, and Traders to build credibility in the investment process
- Provide market-related insights to identify relative value opportunities
- Represent the trading function in Portfolio Management and Research round tables and provide market trends from a trading perspective
- Contribute to the global trading team with market insight, trends and technicals
- Develop and maintain a database to track secondary trading levels and dealer bids/offers
- Act as point of contact with street counterparties for market color, bids, and trade execution
- Assist with ad hoc reporting for PMs/traders
- Learn client guidelines and perform pre-trade compliance checks
- Interact with senior traders, research partners, and internal constituents regularly
- Participate in morning calls, market updates, and strategy meetings
- Serve as interface between the trading team and other internal firms constituencies
Key requirements- 2-7 years' experience with structured product securities, preferably in agency mortgages or CLOs for a buy-side firm
- Strong problem-solving skills and solid analytical framework
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, macro implementation and Bloomberg
- Rigorous attention to detail and good time-management/multi-tasking
- Comfortable taking direction from senior investment professionals
- Inquisitive mind with interest in fixed income markets
- Self-motivated team player with strong verbal communication skills
