Overview In this role you will shape the North America business development strategy for the Transactional Practice Group, focusing on Capital Markets, Banking & Finance, Restructuring, and related areas. You will partner with regional leaders to grow client relationships, identify opportunities, and support priority initiatives. You'll lead pitches, craft marketing collateral, and coordinate market-facing activities to raise the group's profile. The role emphasizes measurable ROI and cross-functional collaboration to drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities- Identify, prioritize and pursue new business opportunities across North America with Practice Group leaders
- Develop cross-selling opportunities and revenue growth strategies with colleagues
- Support execution of business plans aligned with Practice Group priorities
- Lead or support targeted pitches, proposals, and tenders in collaboration with pitch specialists
- Create and maintain marketing collateral, capability statements, bios, and credentials
- Coordinate submissions for Chambers and Legal 500 directory responses
- Support profile-raising activities: sponsorships, conferences, client alerts, newsletters, thought leadership
- Shape client event strategy and sponsor programs with events/communications teams
- Ensure BD initiatives are ROI-focused and aligned with priorities
- Monitor progress and provide proactive support to partners and client teams
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or related field; advanced degree beneficial but not required
- BD/marketing experience, preferably in legal or professional services
- Experience building business plans, client targeting, proposals, and marketing materials
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and AI-enabled productivity tools (Copilot, Claude)
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate objectives into actionable plans
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and credibility with partners and colleagues
