Senior Superintendent - High-Rise Multifamily

Overview

In this role you lead field construction efforts to deliver projects on schedule and to quality standards. You work closely with owners, architects, and subcontractors to build safely and efficiently while maintaining confidence in the project plan. You drive safety, schedule, and turnover, tackling challenges across multiple sites. This is a hands-on leadership role in a high-visibility environment with impact on project outcomes and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee field construction activities and coordinate the work of the on-site team and subcontractors
  • Enforce safety procedures and participate in Safety Training Program
  • Manage CPM schedule and project reporting (timesheets, work orders, daily reports, invoices)
  • Ensure quality control and set standards for workmanship
  • Order materials and manage procurement to avoid crisis buying
  • Review drawings, specifications and subcontractor submittals; conduct pre-job meetings
  • Lead start-up testing, turnover to Owner, and project close-out documentation
  • Attend and chair meetings; complete punch lists and ensure timely completion
  • Possess ability to travel and supervise multiple projects across a large geographic area
  • Execute additional responsibilities as assigned
Key requirements
  • Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years as Superintendent in field construction
  • STS Certification or obtain within six months of hire; maintain active status
  • Working knowledge of all crafts; read and understand specifications; prior foreman/journeyman or project engineer experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA laws; scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost control
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a high sense of urgency
