Overview In this Associate Director role, you lead CEO- and C-suite level strategy engagements for Consumer Goods clients, shaping growth, portfolio, and operating-model transformations. You will drive multi-workstream delivery, engage senior stakeholders, and turn strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps and measurable outcomes. Responsibilities- Lead large, complex strategy and enterprise-reinvention programs with multiple workstreams and senior stakeholders
- Manage client relationships with CEOs, presidents, CFOs, CMOs, COOs, CSCOs, and corporate-development leaders
- Translate ambiguous questions into testable hypotheses, workplans, and sequenced roadmaps
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across strategy, finance, commercial, operations, data/AI, technology, talent, and change management
- Ensure engagement quality, timeliness, and risk management; resolve escalations and align stakeholder perspectives
- Define enterprise and business-unit growth strategies, market choices, portfolio priorities, and business-model options
- Design operating models, governance, organization structures, and performance-management systems
- Develop value cases, scenario models, revenue/margin bridges, and benefit-realization plans
- Shape reinvention programs around Accenture's Consumer Goods priorities (e.g., Enterprise Performance Engine, Connected Sales Reinvention, Insight-to-Launch)
- Apply sub-industry nuance to tailor recommendations to client-specific economics and routes to market
- Advise on strategic alternatives, portfolio reshaping, partnerships, acquisitions/divestitures, and inorganic growth
- Lead integration strategy, synergy capture, Day 1/Day 2 operating-model design, and value-tracking
- Protect brand, customer, and talent momentum during integration
- Establish integration governance, decision forums, metrics, and value-tracking mechanisms
- Identify where AI, analytics, and data unlock growth and improve decision quality
- Translate priority use cases into process, data, governance, and workforce changes
- Lead with GenAI/tools to accelerate research, insight, planning, and executive decision support
- Partner with AI, data, technology, and ecosystem teams to scale solutions with responsible AI controls
- Originate and shape Consumer Goods strategy and reinvention opportunities including C-suite sessions, proposals, and value cases
- Lead pursuit teams and maintain momentum from executive dialogue to funded mandates
- Develop reusable assets, case studies, thought leadership, and market viewpoints
- Coach and develop managers and consultants; contribute to hiring, performance, and succession
- Support account planning and pipeline development for key North American clients
Key requirements- 12+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree or 12 years of equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years in strategy consulting or equivalent internal corporate-strategy role
- 5+ years in enterprise/growth strategy, corporate development, commercial strategy, business-model design, M&A and integration, or operating-model transformation
- 3+ years leading complex, multi-workstream strategy or transformation programs
- 3+ years working directly with C-suite or senior executive stakeholders
- 2+ years shaping consulting engagements, proposals, or executive-sponsored business cases
