Overview In this Senior Accountant role, you will own the month-end close, prepare financial statements, and scale the accounting function within NetSuite. You'll implement internal controls, support system integration, and design processes for accuracy and efficiency. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve close cycles and ensure CAS and government contract compliance. You will work with autonomy to identify issues and deliver scalable financial solutions. This position supports the corporate office and contributes to the company's mission to secure space with trusted financial stewardship.

Responsibilities- Lead month-end and year-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Prepare accruals for accurate reporting
- Manage overhead and fringe benefit allocations
- Assist with fixed asset capitalization entries and maintain the fixed asset register
- Prepare and manage prepaid expense entries
- Support accounting policies and best practices implementation
- Streamline and enhance the close process to reduce cycle time
- Support Financial Statements preparation and CAS-described contracts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and systems
- Support the annual audit
- Act as liaison between accounting and other departments for financial guidance
- Other tasks as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of experience
- CPA is a plus
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with government contract accounting, FAR, and DCAA a plus
- Aerospace and Defense experience a plus
- Analytical with strong attention to detail and ownership
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Prior NetSuite experience preferred
