Overview In this role you will support utility clients in designing, implementing, and optimizing real-time operational systems (SCADA, EMS, ADMS, DERMS, OMS) to modernize transmission and distribution. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions, assess current states, and drive operational excellence. The work blends technology delivery with process improvement to enhance reliability and grid performance. Responsibilities- Design, implement, and optimize real-time operating systems (SCADA, EMS, ADMS, DERMS) for utilities
- Lead workstreams and project activities based on experience level
- Perform current-state assessments, process analyses, and operational improvement evaluations
- Gather requirements, design solutions, test, deploy, and manage change
- Translate business requirements into functional/technical solutions
- Drive modernization of grid operations through process and technology transformation
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and sessions to align objectives
- Develop deliverables (assessments, roadmaps, business cases, presentations)
- Identify risks and support mitigation throughout projects
- Collaborate with utilities, system integrators, and vendors for execution
- Leverage data analytics and emerging tech to improve decision-making and outcomes
- Contribute to internal capability growth and knowledge sharing
- Build trusted client relationships and deliver high-quality work
- Support business development, proposals, and thought leadership initiatives
- Travel as required; open to major US cities near corporate offices
Key requirements- 4+ years in utility operations and real-time systems (T&D)
- Experience with real-time systems (SCADA, EMS, ADMS, DERMS, OMS, GIS)
- Experience supporting grid modernization or transformation programs
- Ability to translate requirements into actionable solutions
- Experience collaborating with business, operations, and technology stakeholders
- Understanding of utility operations, reliability, resilience, safety, and grid performance
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
