Responsibilities- Develop and execute the market research strategy to drive growth and competitive positioning
- Produce forward-looking analyses for business development, forecasting, and client advisory
- Lead, coach, and manage research staff with focus on quality and timely outputs
- Oversee quarterly market reports, dashboards, presentations, and custom deliverables
- Create narratives highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities across submarkets
- Serve as primary research spokesperson for media, clients, and events
- Collaborate with brokerage, marketing, and valuation teams for strategic insights
- Provide analytics and market intelligence for major client opportunities
- Implement advanced analytics tools, BI platforms, and data storytelling enhancements
- Introduce process improvements to streamline workflows and improve research quality
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and methodological rigor across datasets
- Maintain data validation and continuously improve data quality
- Collaborate with GIS, IT, marketing, and operations to improve tools and reporting
- Participate in regional research forums to align with broader priorities
Key requirements- 10+ years in commercial real estate, with 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing teams and analytical programs
- Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
- Expertise in research platforms (CoStar, MSCI-RCA) and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent)
- Mastery of predictive analytics, modeling tools, and AI-driven methodologies
- Strong Excel and data visualization skills; proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication with senior stakeholders; strong writing, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
- Pursuant to local laws, onsite role in Chicago, IL; on-site collaboration
- Salary range $131,940 to $180,000; eligible for annual bonus
