Overview In this role you will lead technical accounting research, shape company-wide accounting policies, and ensure compliant financial reporting as Crusoe scales with complex financings and international operations. You will partner with business units and external auditors, translating intricate accounting concepts for non-financial stakeholders. Responsibilities- Lead research and evaluation of complex transactions (debt/equity, consolidation, lease accounting, revenue recognition, etc.)
- Prepare clear technical accounting memoranda and present conclusions to leadership
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual SEC-compliant financial statements and footnotes
- Author Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) narratives
- Formulate and implement global accounting policies across the organization
- Monitor and interpret new FASB/SEC pronouncements and plan adoption of new standards
- Coordinate with external auditors on technical accounting positions and standards
- Support SOX internal controls over technical accounting and financial reporting processes
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA certification
- Six+ years of accounting and audit experience
- Deep US GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX expertise
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
- Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts to non-financial stakeholders
