Overview As a Structural Engineer with Jacobs, you will join the Cities & Places team in Dallas or Fort Worth to design and analyze diverse facilities for local and global clients. You'll own structural scope, contribute to interdisciplinary design, and ensure quality, schedule, and budget adherence. You will apply wind and seismic design principles and mentor junior engineers, while collaborating with architects and other disciplines. This role offers international exposure, leadership opportunities, and a chance to shape resilient infrastructure. You'll work in a hybrid setup, delivering high-impact projects across sectors like education, healthcare, data centers, and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities- Perform structural analysis and design for a range of facilities
- Own scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality of design deliverables
- Lead project team or work independently with limited supervision
- Apply wind and seismic design provisions and building codes
- Check own work and coordinate with peers for review
- Forecast level of effort, manage workload, and meet project commitments
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
- Advance workflows and adopt emerging structural technologies
- Act as stamping Engineer of Record if required
Key requirements- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer License (PE)
- Minimum 8 years of structural engineering experience related to buildings
- Experience with US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC)
