Overview In this role, you support Maryland's distribution reliability by analyzing and guiding improvements to the electric network. You collaborate with Operations to plan long-term infrastructure, manage reliability targets, and contribute to regulatory reporting. You'll handle data-driven assessments, outage analyses, and storm support, helping to modernize and safeguard the grid. Responsibilities- Assess and improve Maryland distribution reliability performance
- Develop and maintain long-term reliability and modernization plans
- Oversee long-term infrastructure improvement plans (LTIIP)
- Analyze outage data and reliability metrics to support operations
- Prepare reliability and regulatory reports
- Budget estimation and scheduling for distribution reliability projects
- Support customer inquiries and power quality studies as needed
- Assist storm process as hazard dispatcher/responder or related roles
- Remotely or onsite collaboration with Distribution Control Center and cross-functional teams
Key requirements- Bachelor in Engineering or Technology (ABET preferred) or PE license or equivalent with Electrical Engineering advanced degree considered
- 0-5 years engineering experience
- Knowledge of electrical systems, switching and tagging, field operations, and controls
- Familiarity with NESC and NEC regulations
- Strong data analysis and technical reporting abilities
- Ability to travel within service territory and work irregular hours
- Valid state driver's license
