Lead Medical Science Liaison, Molecular Imaging (Northeast or Chicago, IL Based)

Overview

As Lead Medical Science Liaison for Molecular Imaging, you will provide scientific information and education to healthcare professionals, supporting Bayer Radiology products. You will build and maintain medical education programs, engage thought leaders, and coordinate internal and external scientific activities. You will ensure compliant, data-driven discussions and identify clinical needs to bridge R&D, clinical, and commercial teams. This role offers cross-functional collaboration, field-based training, and opportunities to influence patient care in imaging workflows.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and expand scientific expertise through training, certifications, conferences, and literature reviews
  • Deliver external scientific exchanges, respond to PIRs, and ensure FDA/SOP-compliant information distribution
  • Engage Thought Leaders, identify KOLs, support IIR projects, and coordinate advisory boards
  • Identify customer needs, differentiate Bayer Molecular Imaging capabilities, and support protocol adaptation for patients
  • Collaborate with R&D, clinical and commercial teams to align strategies and drive customer satisfaction
  • Plan and execute medical field force initiatives and trainings; assess hospital accounts for commercial segmentation
  • Report competitive activity and represent Bayer at scientific meetings
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree; 2+ years industry experience
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to engage diverse stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of FDA and OIG requirements
  • Valid driver's license (and eligibility for company car)
