Overview As Senior Director, you will design and govern West's global distribution and logistics strategy, ensuring compliant, resilient, and cost-efficient movement of pharmaceutical components and products across a worldwide network. You will shape a next-generation distribution footprint, lead 3PL partnerships, and drive service level excellence and OTIF. This role sits on the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team and focuses on risk mitigation, capital optimization, and customer experience improvements. You'll partner across Commercial, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Finance to enable enterprise growth.

Responsibilities- Define and execute a multi-year global logistics and distribution strategy aligned to enterprise growth
- Design future-state network including footprint optimization, regional DC strategy, 3PL governance, and automation roadmap
- Develop global transportation strategy (ocean, air, ground, expedited) and global SLAs
- Architect distribution capability for new product introductions and platform expansion
- Ensure regulatory and quality compliance (FDA, ISO, GDP/GMP/GSP, trade) and audit readiness
- Lead WMS, TMS, and ERP integration; deploy visibility and analytics to improve OTIF, inventory accuracy, and cost-to-serve
- Integrate logistics with IBP, S&OP, and long-range planning; align with Commercial, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance
- Develop global logistics risk mitigation and business continuity plans; oversee crisis management protocols
- Own global logistics P&L and drive working capital improvements; present performance to executives
- Build and lead a high-performing global logistics organization; lead change management and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives
Key requirements- 12+ years in supply chain
- 5+ years in leadership
- Direct experience managing global distribution centers, transportation strategy, 3PL partnerships, ERP/WMS/TMS implementations
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business; MBA or related master's preferred
