Overview In this role, you drive the end-to-end supply chain to meet project goals and strengthen risk mitigation across procurement, purchasing, and vendor management. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain objectives with company aims and optimize logistics for timely delivery. Your work supports Safran Test Cells purchasing and international operations, delivering cost estimates and ensuring supplier performance. This is a hands-on leadership role at a global aerospace company with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Translate sales and project needs into supply chain actions
- Provide cost estimates to procurement and convert requisitions to POs
- Monitor delivery of purchased parts and services
- Oversee vendor qualification, selection and contract compliance
- Coordinate with stakeholders across PM, Finance, Quoting, Engineering, Sales and Quality
- Develop and maintain a risk mitigation system across the supply chain
- Optimize international purchasing and identify synergies with other Safran entities
- Develop IT tools and automated workflows for PO creation/approval
- Manage inventory processes and ensure a safe, functional work environment
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in methods and procedures
- Oversee delegation of work and project assignments
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience managing a Supply Chain organization
- International purchasing and shipping experience
- Supplier and Vendor Management experience
- Export/Import compliance knowledge preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally
