Senior Government Affairs Manager

As Senior Government Affairs Manager, you will drive policy and advocacy efforts to support Microsoft's state and regional priorities. You will coordinate cross-functional engagement with government, community, and employee teams to shape the policy agenda and build relationships with officials. You will analyze issues, prepare materials, and manage projects that advance the company's economic development and innovation goals. This role offers visibility across the Cascadia region and opportunities to influence policy and partnerships that bolster Microsoft's mission. You will work with a fast-paced team to translate strategy into actionable programs and outcomes.

• Promote Microsoft as a force for good on issues impacting state economy and regional growth (housing, education, transportation, sustainability, economic development, innovation).
• Represent the company at events with officials, advocates, and community leaders; develop content and drive social media engagement.
• Track and monitor policy, industry, and geographic issues; execute strategies and programs; escalate as needed.
• Contribute to policy agenda, advocacy strategies, and corporate objectives; consolidate data to support advocacy materials and briefings.
• Lead cross-group projects, align teams, and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to align objectives and resources.

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 4+ years in government affairs, public policy, or related area OR equivalent experience
• 3+ years developing strategic relationships to influence public, regulatory, and technology policy
• 3+ years supporting or influencing public policy or political campaigns
