Overview In this role you will lead project controls for large-scale construction programs in the public sector, with a focus on aviation projects. You will work with cross-functional teams to align schedules, budgets, and risk management with project milestones. You'll develop micro-phasing plans, monitor progress, and provide clear reporting to executives and stakeholders. Responsibilities- Review activities to support milestones and coordinate challenging work phases
- Develop micro-phasing schedules and coordinate involved parties
- Identify and mitigate project risks with designers, contractors and third parties
- Oversee cost recording, monitoring, and reporting for compliance
- Develop schedule resource loading, maintenance, and monitoring
- Provide progress reports and create tools to communicate sequencing and progress
- Report budget and schedule variances promptly
- Understand aviation disciplines (BHS, Special Systems, Power, HVAC) and timeframes
- Possess strong self-starting, proactive attitude and take on additional responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with technical and management audiences
- Promote a can-do spirit within the controls team and ensure accurate, timely results
- SOX control responsibilities may apply where relevant
Key requirements- 15+ years of project controls experience on large-scale construction projects
- Experience on large-scale aviation-related projects required
- Proven ability to manage design and construction of complex programs
- Understanding of Design-Build and CM at Risk delivery methods desirable
- Strong communication of progress and issues to technical and management audiences
- Detail-oriented, highly organized with customer-service approach
- Ability to interface with people of varying technical backgrounds
- Demonstrated accuracy, reliability and accountability in past roles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Experience with Expedition (or similar), Adobe Acrobat, Primavera P6 (v6+) and Prolog (desirable)
