Overview As an EPC Project Manager in our Transmission & Distribution Global Practice, you lead end to end EPC projects for utilities and energy clients. You guide cross functional teams through engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning to deliver safe, reliable, and profitable outcomes. You shape the Project Execution Plan, manage risks, and drive on time, on budget delivery while strengthening client relationships. This role combines technical leadership with regional business growth in the Northeast.
Responsibilities- Lead Transmission and Substation EPC projects from concept to commissioning and closeout
- Develop and implement the Project Execution Plan (PEP) including engineering, procurement, quality, safety, subcontracting, staffing, and procurement plans
- Coordinate with engineering to deliver engineering deliverables per project schedule and requirements
- Approve project specifications, drawings, and design changes
- Oversee site mobilization/demobilization and support Site Manager in field execution
- Manage commissioning, startup, turnover, warranty, and record retention processes
- Own project profit and loss, cost reporting, scheduling, WBS, and progress tracking
- Lead contract management (prime contracts, subcontracts, change orders) and risk reviews
- Oversee procurement and subcontract management including RFPs, supplier evaluation, and material control
- Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across the project
- Manage client relationships and support business development and proposals
- Mentor and develop regional project staff and PMITs
- Communicate project status, risks, schedule, and costs to stakeholders
- Lead project meetings and maintain project documentation and filing systems
- Coordinate with regional offices to align with Northeast growth strategy
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related degree
- 7+ years of applicable experience
- Experience on construction project sites or in program management in energy/transmission distribution sectors (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work overtime
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration
- OSHA 10/30 certification strongly preferred
