Overview In this Senior Mechanical Engineer role, you lead pipe stress analysis and piping design for complex projects. You'll coordinate mechanical work within a multidisciplinary team and drive client engagement, design reviews, and lead responsibilities on pipe-stress initiatives. You will ensure code compliance and manage project development from schematic through documents, while monitoring schedule and budget. Responsibilities- Perform pipe stress analysis and piping design for projects and prepare reports
- Coordinate the work of Mechanical Engineers with multidisciplinary teams throughout project development
- Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design and production meetings related to mechanical systems
- Lead on projects related to pipe stress analysis
- Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance
- Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project sites
- Coordinate workload to meet project schedules
- Track financial aspects and align team efforts with the budget and schedule
- Collaborate with Project Manager, Regional Controller and Regional Director for project reviews
- Perform other duties as needed
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings
- Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project and AutoCAD
- Demonstrated leadership, team coordination and project management experience
- Experience with architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firms
