Overview

In this role you will provide technical and production engineering support to the ATY & Needlepunch department, driving process reliability and efficiency. You will manage capital projects, TPM initiatives, and cost improvements while investigating off-quality events and monitoring departmental performance. You will act as a liaison between leadership and shop floor, ensuring safety, quality, and standard work are upheld. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to shape processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment and contribute to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as liaison between the Department Manager and associates to maintain clear communication
  • Monitor safety, quality, production, processes, and procedures within the department
  • Ensure compliance with SMS procedures and instructions
  • Provide direction and support to achieve departmental goals
  • Coordinate and oversee projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, cost, and efficiency
  • Establish, maintain, and issue process specifications and operating instructions
  • Assist employees in solving job-related problems
  • Participate in departmental meetings
  • Understand and apply USF II
  • Act as TPM program driver for the department
  • Engage in SMS, TPM, and S.A.F.E. programs
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to improve the ATY & Needlepunch department
  • Support supervisors with problems related to PI Process, TPM, quality, safety, equipment, and training
  • Perform non-quality related duties as directed by management
  • Take actions to meet site goals for percent-efficiency and percent-waste
  • Provide support for associates in the department
  • Assist in maintaining all supporting equipment
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering discipline preferred) or equivalent
  • Preferred: Lean/Six Sigma Certification
  • Preferred: Project Management
  • Execute action plans
  • Deliver compelling communication
  • Build trusting relationships
  • TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
  • SMS (Safe Management System)
  • S.A.F.E. programs
