Overview In this role you will own supplier and CM communication to execute PO management, expediting, and change management for semiconductor, PCBA, and electronic components. You will generate and update POs, resolve shortages, and reconcile invoices to keep production running. You will partner with the CM and Accounts Payable to manage build schedules, logistics, and payments, while driving cost efficiencies and risk mitigation. Responsibilities- Lead supplier and CM communication for PO management, expediting, invoice alignment, and change management across semiconductor, PCBA, and electronic components.
- Own PO management: generate/update POs based on BOM revisions, issue POs for builds, and ensure contract compliance.
- Expedite parts and act as the first escalation point for shortages, expediting, and commercial issues with suppliers, distributors, and CM.
- Partner with the CM on day-to-day execution: track build schedules, manage kitting and component-to-CM logistics, and coordinate on quality escapes and NCRs.
- Partner with Accounts Payable to reconcile invoices and maintain supplier credit, aiming to avoid credit holds.
- Manage changes end-to-end: communicate engineering/program changes, confirm cut-in dates, negotiate E&O exposure, and update POs.
- Identify and drive cost reduction opportunities in collaboration with Engineering, Supplier Quality, and CM.
- Track order status, lead times, CM capacity/build slots, and supplier performance to flag risks early.
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in purchasing and commodity management with semiconductor or electronics focus
- Working knowledge of semiconductor devices, packaging, and PCBA manufacturing processes
- Strong operational execution in generating/managing high-volume POs with dynamic BOM revisions
- Proven record as primary escalation point for materials planners and CMs; expediting and resolving shortages
- Proficiency with Accounts Payable to reconcile invoice discrepancies and manage supplier credit
- Experience with end-to-end change management including securing cut-in dates and mitigating E&O exposure
