Responsibilities- Drive engine system architecture trades and CONOPS
- Manage engine interfaces and negotiate requirements to optimize the vehicle
- Support overall engine system development
- Contribute to engine system analysis, simulation, and testing
- Develop tools and enable cross-team collaboration
- Coordinate with and mentor other engineers, contributing to team growth
- Contribute to future engine iterations and design for mass production
- Deliver results with minimal oversight on collaborative projects
Key requirements- 11+ years of relevant experience in complex engineering system development and/or test environments
- Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, technology, or mathematics field
- Experience applying engineering fundamentals in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
- Working knowledge of liquid-propellant rocket engines
- Strong ownership, problem-solving, and collaborative skills
- Ability to deliver on ambitious schedules, including unconventional or creative solutions
- Willingness to travel 15% to test and launch sites; flexibility for shifted schedules
