Overview In this role you will lead the design and oversight of U.S. employee benefit programs, aligning them with the company's strategy and long-term cost goals. You will partner with senior leadership to leverage data to improve outcomes and employee experience, while guiding a high-performing benefits team. The role focuses on governance, analytics, and vendor management to drive cost-effective, compliant programs that support Labcorp's mission to improve health and lives. This position offers hybrid work in Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities- Lead the design, administration, and continuous improvement of US employee benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, 401(k
- Develop and execute a benefits and population health strategy to enhance employee experience and manage long-term costs
- Use data analytics and reporting with leadership to drive strategic decisions and optimize program effectiveness
- Establish benefits analytics, dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting
- Translate complex benefits data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership
- Provide financial oversight of benefits including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, ROI
- Lead vendor strategy and management (carrier and consultant relationships, negotiations, renewals)
- Oversee 401(k) administration, governance, compliance, and employee education
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and related benefits laws
- Maintain and enhance benefits systems, data integrity, and audit processes
- Analyze utilization and claims data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings
- Lead employee benefits communications and education
- Develop and coach a high-performing benefits team and foster collaboration
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years progressive benefits experience (health and welfare and retirement)
- 3+ years people leadership in benefits
- 1+ years benefits analytics, population health, or data-driven program design
- 1+ years budgeting, forecasting, cost modeling, and ROI analysis in benefits
- 1+ years managing benefits in large, complex organizations
- 1+ years administering 401(k) and retirement plans (design, compliance, oversight)
- 1+ years retirement governance and fiduciary responsibilities
- 1+ years experience with benefits administration systems and HR technologies
