Overview

In this role you will lead data governance and collaboration across Investment, Data Management, Technology, and Operations to ensure reliable, well-defined data for reporting and decision-making. You will translate business needs into clear data requirements, drive data quality and lineage, and support governance processes that improve transparency and accountability. You'll partner with stakeholders to map data flows, assess downstream impacts, and implement improvements in data assets and reporting. This position offers the opportunity to shape a data-driven culture within a Fortune 100 environment, delivering measurable impact on data quality and governance across investment systems.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue data strategy opportunities aligning with business priorities and KPIs
  • Define data requirements, ownership, quality expectations, and downstream impacts with data owners
  • Support data-change intake, data dictionary management, CDE review, and governance committee prep
  • Lead or facilitate data-quality issue triage, root-cause analysis, remediation planning, and communications
  • Support data-quality scorecards on completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and issue resolution
  • Coordinate with Technology and business on new data elements, reference data, and reporting improvements
  • Evaluate data impact across complex data ecosystem and support CDE, catalog, lineage, and metadata practices
  • Facilitate working sessions and knowledge sharing to build shared understanding
Key requirements
  • 6-10 years of relevant data management experience
  • Experience engaging leaders and cross-functional teams to identify data gaps
  • Proficiency in data acquisition, wrangling, visualization (SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Cloud experience with Azure and AWS (e.g., Redshift, S3, EC2)
  • Statistical analysis and data quality assessment experience
  • Knowledge of investment asset classes and key data elements
