Overview

In this Project Engineer role you drive delivery of large or multiple small capital projects on time and within budget. You will align engineering work with site needs, client standards, and regulatory requirements, while supporting improvement programs. You collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, schedule, and validation documents, and you mentor operations through technical guidance. The role offers exposure to capital project management and regulatory-compliant engineering in a manufacturing/pharma context, with meaningful impact on site competitiveness and compliance. You will work cross-functionally to ensure safe, high-quality project execution and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure project scope and scheduling with key stakeholders
  • Maintain organized engineering documentation and CAD files
  • Produce validation documents (DS, IQ, OQ, PQ) with Technical services
  • Develop technical change controls for managed projects
  • Create project briefs, user requirements and functional specifications
  • Support Engineering Improvement programme and project ways of working
  • Promote safety in equipment and process designs and comply with regulations
  • Provide technical support to operations and attend relevant meetings
  • Assess resources and, when needed, appoint and manage contractors and suppliers
  • Plan and control schedules and cost estimates, including tender analyses
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Discipline or equivalent
  • 2-5 years' experience in project engineering/management
  • Proven track record in a related engineering discipline
  • Working knowledge of capital project management techniques and tools
  • Customer focus, teamwork, strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience leading projects in a team environment
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Excel 2007, MS Project 2007, MS Word 2007
  • Knowledge of cGMP, OSHA, NEC and EPA regulations
  • 5+ years' experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers, Visual Basic, and HMI/SCADA systems
