Overview

In this role you drive quality excellence within aerospace manufacturing, leading cross-functional teams to ensure AS9100/AS9100D compliance, supplier quality, and CAPA effectiveness. You'll collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customers to reduce risk and improve product readiness. This is a hands-on leadership position shaping quality culture and process improvements in a high-regulation environment. You will engage with OEMs and FAA-regulated programs, influencing both strategic decisions and day-to-day quality outcomes. This opportunity combines technical depth with people leadership to advance Honeywell's aerospace quality mission.

Responsibilities
  • Aerospace Quality Systems Knowledge: ensure compliance with AS9100/AS9100D, AS9102 FAI, ISO 9001, FAA requirements, configuration and nonconformance management, CAPA, risk management, and audit practices.
  • Quality Engineering Tools: apply APQP, PPAP, FMEA/PFMEA/DFMEA, RCCA, 8D problem solving, SPC, MSA, Lean, Six Sigma, and KPI management.
  • Supplier Quality & Manufacturing Experience: lead supplier audits, QMS implementation, supplier qualification and development, escapes reduction, corrective actions, and NPI/production readiness reviews.
  • Leadership Competencies: strategic planning, talent development, coaching and succession planning, executive communication, customer management, change management, financial and operational decision making, and building a quality culture.
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing, quality engineering, supplier quality, or operations
  • 3-5+ years leading quality teams, engineers, or quality managers
  • Experience with OEMs (e.g., Boeing, Airbus, Gulfstream, Lockheed Martin)
  • FAA-regulated products experience
  • Aerospace manufacturing environment experience
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership (Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Customers)
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline
  • U.S. person status (citizenship, U.S. permanent resident, or protected status) per export control laws
