Overview You will lead operations for the GC product portfolio, shaping a bold, market-driven vision and driving cross-functional execution to capture market share. In this role you partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality and Commercial teams to ensure product availability, pricing, and lifecycle decisions align with the company's mission of advancing science. You'll enable end-to-end product success from SKU management to launch readiness, delivering measurable impact and supporting NPI and phase-out activities. This is a hands-on leadership role in a transforming business with global reach and a hybrid on-site/remote setup.
Responsibilities- Maintain and evolve the SKU catalogue with configurations and retirements in coordination with Operations and Supply Chain
- Support lifecycle decisions (introduce, sustain, end-of-life) using operational analyses for leadership
- Manage end-of-life communications and phase-out execution (inventory, customer, field)
- Administer product price book and track pricing changes; prepare data for reviews
- Analyze margin and coordinate system updates after pricing changes
- Triaging field quality escalations and supply chain issues; track resolution with cross-functional owners
- Coordinate with Operations/Supply Chain on parts availability, lead times and backlog
- Provide product configuration guidance and respond to technical queries for sales; maintain competitive resources and specs
- Track KPIs (order intake, backlog, inventory, field feedback) and report to Strategic PM
- Support NPI launches with operational readiness tasks (SAP setup, price entry, configuration guides, sales materials)
- Maintain product documentation (specs, compatibility matrices, configuration guides)
Key requirements- 2-7 years in product management, technical marketing, or related role in scientific instrumentation or laboratory equipment
- Familiarity with product lifecycle concepts: SKU management, pricing, and change management
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; capable of handling multiple concurrent projects
- Experience working cross-functionally in a matrix organization (Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, commercial)
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) for product data, pricing, and orders
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or Business
- Preferred: hands-on scientific/technical degree with lab experience; experience launching products and go-to-market readiness
