Overview

As Project Planner at SubCom, you will manage the manufacturing of multiple subsea cable projects across our Newington campuses. You will maintain project status and coordinate with PM, Design, and Supply Chain to ensure timely fabrication and documentation. You'll drive Ready to Load and Billing milestones while proactively resolving delays with cross-functional teams. This role supports world-class product delivery in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on quality and accountability.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain project Status Reports and track project life cycle from manufacturing to delivery
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain to initiate fiber orders and set length requirements
  • Issue Manufacturing Instructions to Production Schedulers for all processes
  • Interface with Project Management to discuss risks and changes
  • Schedule and participate in meetings with Marine Services, Project Management and Design to set documentation needs and dates
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders to resolve delays and drive on-time manufacturing deliverables
  • Review ERP Demand for accuracy and escalate issues with proposed solutions
  • Escalate issues to Management and Master Planning; drive issue resolution with stakeholders
  • May perform other related duties to meet organizational needs
Key requirements
  • 8 years manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 years Production Planning / Supply Chain Management experience required
  • Strong technical writing, typing, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced Excel recommended
  • Ability to drive teamwork in cross-functional disciplines with peers and Management
  • Ability to identify business risks and escalate with solutions
  • Proficiency in independent, informed decision-making
  • Experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles recommended
  • Travel less than 10%
